In reply to: [AMP] AMP conflicts with images in the mega menuHi, thanks for your response.
Respectively, I doubt the issue is a styling issue for three reasons.
- I contacted the theme provider (Themeisle) about this exact issue, and they tried to debug the issue using their parrot service to no avail.
- Upon deactivation of the AMP plugin, the images within the mega menu immediately display on non-smartphone screens (but not with the CSS for some reason). Then, after reactivating the plugin the images disappear (but not on smartphone screens). Moreover, all the CSS code functions accordingly, so I doubt that my CSS code is lacking (but I am not discounting this).
- I’m fairly advanced in CSS, and after having gone over the code many times, my only other suspicion is a plugin or theme conflict. However, my theme, Neve Pro, is very lightweight and I chose it specifically for its AMP compatibility.
That being said, could you please provide more information regarding this: “BTW, You can use the amp-mega-menu component to add Mega menu on AMP pages.” I would really want to know about this.
Thank you again

In reply to: [AMP] AMP – EU Policy Notice ConflictJust thought I would add that I have downloaded the plugin that you had mentioned, and it works well.
Good that it’s customisable and AMP compatible. Thanks, kind regards.

In reply to: [AMP] AMP – EU Policy Notice ConflictHello, so nice of you to ask:)
I haven’t downloaded the plugin yet because I would like to wait for a couple of weeks to see if AMP or Orbit Fox provide an update to allow for functionality. If they don’t then I’ll download the plugin you mentioned because I’ve been told that an absence of a GDPR notice can affect one’s SEO.
I’m also holding out a little simply because I always try to avoid having an excess of plugins, but on this I’ll need to make an exception due to the aforementioned impact on SEO.
Thanks again,
Kind regards.

In reply to: [AMP] AMP – EU Policy Notice ConflictI checked out your demo site (very nice of you by the way to do that) and it seems the issue you have is identical to mine. Yes, the fact that the EU policy notice works on my other one is strange, but no doubt there’s a conflict with the plugin as you have just shown.
I deleted the autoptimize plugin by the way, thanks.

In reply to: [AMP] AMP – EU Policy Notice ConflictThank you so much for your response. Thing is, I have two nearly identical websites (two completely separate domains) both running on Neve theme and both using AMP, however, the conflict with the GDRP notice only occurs on one of them.
So even though all the reasons you cited are valid (exactly what the support for the plugin said, respectively) I still don’t quite get why the conflict would not occur on my other website.
Regarding the Automptmize plugin, thanks for that. I don’t think it will be necessary then, to have it if AMP does that already.
Thanks again for your kind help.

In reply to: [AMP] Google ads using AMPAfter disabling AMP on specific pages for which I had an exclusion, the ads disappeared immediately. You were right, thanks for that. Hopefully, either AMP or Site Kit have a fix for this in the pipeline. I’ll post this comment to the other thread where you commented for others to see.
Thanks again.

Hi, thanks so much for your response. OK, I will disable AMP for the individual pages as per your suggestion. Thanks, I’ll comment again to let you and the community know if it works.
Yes, I am using the AMP plugin by AMP Project Contributors (https://amp-wp.org/) as well as Site Kit by Google.
Appreciate hearing your comments anyhow because I thought I had done something wrong.
Cheers.
