I hate to pile on, but we too experienced this issue with thousands of emails being sent via our SendGrid account. We disabled the sharing functionality and now temporarily block IPs that make the request. This was a month ago, but we’re still blocking a lot of IPs.

It would be nice to have this functionality back, in the event there is anything that can be done by the plugin to discourage this.

I have the very same problem and I’m also using this on a multisite installation of WordPress.

Still not fixed with 2.0.3, although it’s obviously not too big a deal since the plugin still works quite well. Just thought you’d like to know.

I have the exact same problem, although my site is currently only running locally, so I can’t post any link to it here.

Just want to show that this isn’t a one off problem.
