In reply to: [Yoast SEO] WordPress error Duplicate Entry@fabiovito83 We understand if you don’t want to initially perform this on a live site. What you could do is first test on a staging site, and prior to performing it on the live site take a backup of the site so in the event of any problem you can easily restore the site.
We recommend creating regular backups of your site and database for your site’s health and safety. A backup is crucial before editing the database directly?and provides you with a safety net if something were to go wrong. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Duplicate post titles@cjsheps Is the warning from SEMrush saying that a single page has multiple
<title>
tags being output, or that several pages have the same value for the<title>
, and recommending you have unique ones for the pages in question?Regarding settings in the Yoast SEO plugin, it only outputs a single
<title>
tag for a page. But if the warning is for multiple pages having the same value for the<title>
tag, you can change this value for the page by navigating to the page’s edit screen and then entering a new value for the ‘SEO Title’ field in the Yoast meta box.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Missing Field “mainEntity” on author pages@databell96 We understand you are receiving an error of Missing field ‘mainEntity’?in Google Search Console, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
Can you please let us know whether these pages are set to “ProfilePage”? If so, it’s currently in our product roadmap to add the “ProfilePage” schema properly into our product.
- New in structured data: discussion forum and profile page markup
- Expanding markup support for Organization details, including Logo structured data
In the meantime, we recommend not setting the pages as Profile Page in the schema tab of the Yoast SEO meta box. If it’s set as Profile Page, please change it temporarily to the default one so it won’t return the?Missing field ‘mainEntity’?error.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Tag no index to brand page@cberzosabc We’ve identified several concerns in your message and responded to each below:
But this will no index only the page I indicated, right? Not all products of that brand.This will noindex all pages for that taxonomy. If you only wish to noindex a single page/post/product, you should do so by performing the following steps:
- Go to the Edit screen for a page/post/product
- Scroll down to the Yoast Metabox
- Click on the ‘Advanced’ area
- For ‘Allow search engines to show this in search results?’ make sure this is set to ‘No’ (setting this value to Yes will set meta robots to ‘index’ and setting No would set meta robots to ‘noindex)
And another question, I want to no index a product: roof rack, because these are different for each car. So I don’t want the user to reach the product that is not valid for their car. I want the user to reach this page, which is a search engine for roof rack: https://negrillo.es/barras-techo-bacas-buscador/ Does it work just by no index said product?
Yes, you could accomplish this by individually setting each to noindex.
Another solution you may want to explore is instead of setting those pages to noindex is to change their canonical URL to that of the search page. We have more information and guidance on changing this here: https://yoast.com/help/canonical-urls-in-yoast-seo/Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] TypeError: i is not a function | Unable to edit site content@l0gan0 We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.
We understand that you aren’t able to modify/disable the theme or critical plugins on the live site, but would you be able to perform a conflict checking using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin? It allows you to perform a conflict check without affecting the front end of the site. We have instructions on this available here.
Also, can you please confirm that the live site environment meets all of the plugin requirements?

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Can’t save any new setting. Requires Facebook profile url@moxie We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.
Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Twenty-Two.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Sitemap Issue In Search Console@irshad3284 We checked on the sitemap and no issues were detected when validated (see image here).
We would recommend to first try to resolve this by removing and resubmitting the sitemap. In order to make sure there are no cached sitemap data, we recommend the following:
1. Clear the cache from caching plugins, the server, a CDN like Cloudflare, or the browser? If you are not sure how to clear cache from a plugin, please contact the plugin author. If you’d like to clear cache from the server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser, use this guide: How to clear my browser’s cache?
2. Delete your sitemap in Google. Doing so will not hurt the SEO of the site. This guide explains more (scroll to the bottom): https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/183669?hl=en.
3. Submit the sitemap again. Be sure to submit only the sitemap_index.xml and nothing else. This guide explains more: Submit your sitemap to search engines.
4. Monitor the results to see if the issue is resolved. It can take some time before Google can report on the crawled URLs after you re-submit your sitemap, especially for large sites, as the Google Search Console reports are not real-time.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Can’t safe settings@oli89 We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.
If the issue you are experiencing occurs with only the Yoast SEO plugin and theme active, it’s likely due to a conflict with the theme.
