In reply to: Reverting back to MD5Someone told me that WordPress actually uses a custom function to hash the passwords and not MD5.
… true?

In reply to: Reverting back to MD5See, this is what I get in my user_pass field: https://i.imgur.com/b9Hk1oh.png
When I change it to MD5, the password gets changed back to the other string… I dont know what encryption it is lol.

In reply to: Reverting back to MD5So overall issue, my passwords are not automatically being stored in MD5… but instead PHPASS. And I dont know how to fix it.

In reply to: Reverting back to MD5When I do what was shown, under ‘function’ its blank. Like MD5 isn’t set.
I noticed that all my user’s passes start off as: $P$B followed by a string of characters. For example: $P$BNspiv.Z2IQtM/n8wnRcIepQkSiEyF1
When I actually click MD5 for function for one account, my password changed to a string like similar: a5c20f3a62d53b3f81e25d9e847002d6 without the $P$B in front.
So that string is MD5… the other one isn’t.

In reply to: Reverting back to MD5But for some reason… my passwords are being stored in phpass instead of MD5 and I don’t know why. This is why when I use IPB external login handler, it doesn’t recognize the password since its phpass.

In reply to: Reverting back to MD5Anyone have an idea how to?

In reply to: Reverting back to MD5For some reason then, when I try to use IPB’s external database login handler, and set the password to MD5, it’s not read in the database.
I was told WordPress uses phpass
You live site doesn’t show a birthday checker option when registering.
Sorry to post here… but I noticed when I choose the Birth Date field, then go to my Register page, the popup appears but it seems that I can’t choose a date. I’m stuck on the month “April” and year “2015”. I can’t choose anything else.

I get this:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found): https://www.google.com/uds/?file=ads&v=3&packages=search&async=2
