Video? But I’m trying to stream audio.
Crossdomain needs to be on the streaming server? I thought it was necessary on the Flash SWF hosting server.
The URL for that Shoutcast stream worked in audio players.
ANyway, I think I have the solution. I asked my streaming provider to provide a different streaming server configuration. Apparently Wowza works with JW player better than Shoutcast, from what I have been told.
This works:
[jwplayer file=”radioboise.stream” streamer=”rtmp://radioboise.streamguys.com:80/live” provider=”rtmp”]It’s a shoutcast AAC stream.
Also, once I change the admin configuration settings values of the plugin to anything from the default values, I can’t change them back to default or blank.
OK I will need to do something else to display the stream data.
I created a crossdomain.xml file. I still can’t adjust the skin settings.
Also, I can’t even get the stream to work with this shortcode:
[jwplayer file="https://amber.streamguys.com:5400/" type="sound"]

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsIt appears that the issue has to do with the iframe tag being filtered by KSES. To get around this, the administrator installed the “unfiltered” plugin and set up a role that would allow admin users to post HTML code. I don’t know if KSES filtering is a part of the theme or something this WordPress installation has that is special.
Problem solved.

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsI can’t switch to any other theme. Only the current theme is available to me. This is a fixed instance of WP with a custom coded theme. I can’t get a hold of the administrator to help me sort out the issue of not being able to edit pages. Could be a database problem.

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsNope. Creating another page does nothing to help. No HTML whatsoever is enter-able into these pages. I need to contact the admin of our site and the Theme programmer to see if there is something nefarious going on.

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsI am able to paste this code in a page in another WP instance with the same theme. I am going to try deleting the page and starting over. Something is corrupt, I suspect.

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsI am not switching back and forth between visual and html. I simply pasting the code into HTML and clicking Update. Something must be corrupt about this page data. I wonder if I have to delete the page and start from scratch.

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsUnfortunately the html is wiped out by just clicking “update”. I have no idea where to being. I am suspecting the template.

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsI am not using those buttons. I am pasting that HTML into the “editor”. Then when I click “Update” the HTML is wiped out and nothing is left in the “HTML” field of the page editor. If, instead of clicking “Update”, one clicks on the “Visual” tab for this page, one can see the page as expected. Unfortunately, clicking “Update” yields the same annihilating result. Nothing is updated. Everything is destroyed. Incomprehensibly and maddening.

In reply to: Can't edit existing page contentsNo not a file or image, nor anything from Word.
Normal text works fine. It’s an HTML snippet. I am actually not uploading or inserting anything. I just didn’t know what to call the main input field because the only label is “Upload/Insert” for the buttons to add multimedia.

I am picking up work on this project and this is the very first page I have tried to edit. So I am not sure what could be changing.
The page I tried to edit which is now blank: https://mainsite.radioboise.org/programming/current/No I didn’t install anything new.
