Sorry…I’m very much a novice:
1: “restructure the HTML”
Where is the code which places footer.php beneath the center blog container only rather than beneath all three columns…? Would it be simple to just recode the theme to place the footer beneath all three columns in say the functions.php file? (How would this be done? sorry so basic a question : )

2: “background image to the body element”
To try this approach would I create a <body></body> tag in the index.php file within the twentytwelve-child folder or another file (functions.php) within that folder? (I’m unable to even find a body element in one of the child folder’s files…)
