Thanks, I will try that. I did submit the question to them, but no answer as of yet.
No because it seems very odd that more than one of the same kind of plugin from two different developers would have the exact same problem. I can try but my guess is they are going to send me right back here. I hate to try another slider as I love Metaslider! It just happened all of a sudden.
Oh sorry… I missed that for reading immediately. No I am not using that one. I am using Cookie Notice for GDPR & CCPA by DFactory (Digital Factory) which is very popular with over 1+ million installations. Seeing it at the bottom of every Metaslider block in the editor.
I followed your link above and don’t see the Cookie plugin name (there are so many out there)… could you tell me the name please? I appreciate your help.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to Stop Products from auto-publicizing?Also, I’m a proponent of using as few plugins as possible to avoid sluggish site loading and problems that come from plugins. ??

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to Stop Products from auto-publicizing?Yes I’m aware it’s code. I just inadvertently typed CSS. ?? And it actually doesn’t work with every theme. You can read that in the comments and on other sites who have similar code. Also, Most clients who hire web designers don’t want to mess with that code later. I’m using a fabulous theme that never requires a child themes and can handle php changes without a child theme. And adding php code or anything like it would just be too much trouble for those who don’t understand all this and/or don’t want a child theme. And they don’t always keep designers for maintenance. It would be SO much easier of Woo would just provide an easy solution. Or at least make products as pages instead of posts. But then pages would bulk up so that might not work either. Something that would make Jetpack play nice would help though. ?? But thanks for your thoughts. Appreciate it.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to Stop Products from auto-publicizing?Thanks Amanda. ?? I knew about css code for that problem, but it doesn’t work with every theme. I’m a web designer and want something my clients can easily change later and that works for every theme. So I was hoping Woocommerce would provide a simple way to turn off that auto sharing…. since not every product needs to be auto publicized.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Add a Link to a Video Media File In Video Block?I find the cover block not helpful … when I use it for any image it zooms in too much on the image. It also looks faded. Seems the option to add a Link over something should be integrated somehow.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Add a Link to a Video Media File In Video Block?Yes, I plan to auto loop the video for clients who want that. They want the video to autoplay and also to have a call to action type of link on top of it … say in the bottom corner, or elsewhere.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Add a Link to a Video Media File In Video Block?Oh I should add… I don’t want to put a caption to make a link. I really want people to be able to click no the video to go to another page on my site. ??

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Plugin Autoupdate problemThanks so much @darnelldibbles – I appreciate the link. I have tried everything I know of to get the autoupdates turned on. I really appreciate that the host has autoupdates set for both WP and the plugins, but I really want Jetpack to set them to autoupdate as well. Thanks a million!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Plugin Autoupdate problemOh, I am building a site for a client so it isn’t public yet, and I don’t think she’d want me linking it on a forum. Sorry. Is there any known reason, by chance, in general (besides what I mentioned already checking above) that could cause such a thing? I even deactivated every single plugin except Jetpack and still no autoupdates allowed. It’s a brand new site. Have never had this happen on any client’s site. I am stumped.
@otto42 Sam, you are completely way off base here. I’m not being rude. In fact read again, I thanked the first commentator, even checked for that colon before I read that link he left. You have grossly misrepresented my intentions. That, kind sir, is what is unacceptable. I’m merely saying when a person says they’d prefer a moderator (which I was unaware were all volunteer and not actual WP emoloyees before this conversation, knowledge that tells me I’d prefer another specific forum), that should be taken as that petson’s preference, not a slight. I am merely a participant too, and even should I know an answer I would never think to answer other participants here out of respect for the moderators. No worries though, if you had a delete account method as many have asked, I’d gladly delete at this very moment. There is certainly no need for me to come here to be misunderstood and berated. There are kinder forums. As I mentioned above, thank you @lucagrandicelli for trying. Sure wish it had been that easy answer, but alas it cured itself for me and my client in another state. Good day. No more need to reply. In fact, if you do have a method to delete that I can’t find, I ask that you do so at this time.
@otto42 – I still prefer a moderator. The first answer I received truthfully had nothing to do with the problem I was having – it had to do with white text and missing buttons, neither of which was a problem I was having.
Thank you Samuel, @otto42 . Someone else might think a moderator isn’t needed to be involved, however my exact question wasn’t being addressed or understood, and I simply stated that I prefer a moderator. And you did in fact understand it exactly and addressed it, so thank you for that and for your kindness. I don’t have an adblocker installed on a site, and Siteground techs really are excellent at what they and could find no problem whatsoever on the site. My client who lives in another state was having the same exact problem, and neither of us have adblockers on our computers that I am aware of – I do on my iPhone, but not my Mac. So must have just been a weird glitch. Thanks again!
