You have to check your *server error logs* people. It’s a generic error message which means nothing except “error”.
Go to your webhost control panel (*not* the regualr wordpress dashbaord/control-panel or your domain registrar like godaddy, but instead the control panel provided for your domain name by the company that hosts your web pages – your *webhost*) and view the webhost server error logs – that will tell you a specific error message that we can give you actionable advice on.
