use Force rewrite in yoast SEO
if that doesnt work, look at your source html, if it somehow “Duplicates” the meta description of your page (2 “Description” tags) then it means that the theme is forcing it’s SEO properties to be used instead of Yoast so it wont show correctly in the search engines
Go to your theme (appearance>Editor) and check the “format” of the php code (usually it’s just messed up with the “line break”) or you could remove it totally.
