Same problem here. I tried deleting the installation and re-installing. Still not working.

Consider this closed.

Instead of using the provided Category page, I made a new Page using shortcodes. It is now displaying what I need it too.

You can see on the Home page, the widgets showing the next event in each category displays correctly. Locations work. It’s just the individual category page that doesn’t.

I have tried re-saving permalinks.

I have not tried deactivating and using default theme. Strange thing is the the Categories page is the only thing not working. I use the widget 3 times on a sidebar, each displaying the next event for a category, and it works fine. If I view all events, it works fine. When I view the category page, I get a list of the categories. It’s only when I select one category, I get a blank page.

Thanks WPyogi….I saw that my theme was pretty old. I will review the change notes and see if I can figure out what happened.

If not, probably time to update to a new theme.

Yes, the problem is with the theme. Drop downs are working when I use Twenty Twelve theme.

So now my question is how should I try to troubleshoot the problem?

What steps could I take to see where the issue is? When I view the source code from the home page, I can see the menu items are in the html. That leads me to believe it is a JS problem. But since I didn’t see any js errors in the console, I am not sure.

Are there detailed release notes in the 3.5.1 release?
