okay, according to my host the domain name is “ready”. But maybe it still needs some time. i did see this on my control panel: mydomainname.com with(DNS) marked next to it, but on my previous project the “DNS” sign wasnt next to my domain name in the control panel.

I tested my domain name with a simple index.htm file inside the root directory and it uploaded fine on the browser. Should I create a new directory for my domain name, then upload all the wp stuff?

But yeah, im sure it has nothing to do with wordpress. I just signed up for this hosting plan 24 hours ago, and switched to linux like 15 hours ago…i guess i just need some patiens.

that doesnt work for me, all i get is a “the page cannot be found” when i go to mysite.com/wp-admin/install.php

why isnt it uploading on the browser like its supposed to??? I have created many wp sites before and never had this installation problem.

me too i have the mysql and php that is required to run wp. but when I did the “wp-admin.php/install.php” a “The page cannot be found” came up. Why is it not installing!? I created many wp sites with same linux hosting from 1and1, why is this one not working?

I didnt try using older version of wp, maybe I should…cuz those worked.
