The main issue though is that a lot of themes that aren’t being supported anymore and came w a customised version of VC can’t update to the newest WP.

The best solution would be to either have a another small WP patch to fix VC (which I don’t see them doing as the plugin isn’t part of the repository) or VC to come out w a small patch to fix all previous VC installs (or someone make a quick tutorial on how to manually fix the issue).

This will cause a lot of problems me thinks…

I’m having the same problem since recently, maybe due to an update? -> example: https://vervegroup.com.au/events/event/manage-employment-relations-2014/

At the moment, I’m manually inserting google maps into the actual event content, though it would be nice to get this working again ??

It was very strange indeed, I did clear the cache and even tried different browsers because it doesn’t make any sense. I haven’t tried to replicate it yet.

Almost seemed like the installer not only updated the local files but also the files on the original domain… maybe because it’s on the same hosting account somehow… no idea.

I didn’t change any dns records.

Will give an update once I replicate it.
