I had the same issue on a client site last night and he was down for a few hours. I highly suggest Updraft Backup plugin (I have no affiliation) but it has a double backup system which is wonderful and I set it up on like 10 WP sites of ours today.

Thanks anyway – I was able to add a <!–more–> button and style it white to match site bg then set the Div in the category page as dsiplay:none if anyone ever needs this hack.

I got it – that is what I get for trusting a plugin to do a real SEO guys job, usually make all those changes by hand.

I tried everything via our backup system pkus thru phpmyadmin – is their no DB wizards in the forums?

I figured it out and there was a character limit. I went w/ more sidebar shsortcodes to be able to get more data in for those who run into this.
