Thanks. I found that in the styles but that does not solve the problem.
The dark brown box that pops up with the tiny white font is the problem.
I need to change the color of that dark brown box and increase the font size. Using the snippet you provided and including the background styles only adds a background to the icon itself. I cannot find the specific location to change that brown box color or its font styles. The um um tip is not it. I promise it’s not it. That goes to the question mark icon. lol
Please assist. Thanks!

In reply to: [WP Referral Code] Question about invite statsI didn’t see the rest of the question, but if it could be shown in the user dashboard column AND the individual shortcodes list that would be ideal so people can see that along with the names. (I found that code snippet on another question you answered so that came in handy! Showing their member role would be helpful too.)

In reply to: [WP Referral Code] Question about invite statsThanks so much!
I am using it for 3 roles: free, vip and premium vip. Only vip and premium vip would be able to participate in the referral program so would receive the codes.
By cancellation I mean if someone is referred by Joe Blow initially, the count goes up by 1. If Admin rejects the registration, or that user deletes their account and is no longer part of the system, it would go down by 1. And as I write that it’s because I am associating it with registrations and not referrals so I will retract that question, it doesn’t need to decrease. A referral is a referral whether they register or not so disregard that.
As for the roles, the way I have the referral program is vip premium can refer / get credit for (paid) vip registrations. Vip can refer free sign ups to earn a vip premium upgrade. So being able to know what role referred what would be helpful if that is even doable. It would be shown in the user column dashboard.
The way I have done it because there is only one referral link field is to put the free referral link for vips in the field and on a restricted page I added the link for the vip premium referrals and added the /?ref###### part to the end of it.
But it’s one referral code that everyone gets. Is it possible to have a setting or code snippet so that the free registrations don’t also get a referral code generated wholesale. By restriction, I was asking if it was possible to set it so that only assigned roles get a referral code.
Thanks again for the quick response. So far I am enjoying the simplicity of the plugin. I am just looking for the best way to adjust what it does for my individual needs with code.

Awesome…that did the trick. Thanks!
One last one. I’ve spent the last hour going through every single css file in this plugin so since you’re up I’m just going to ask because I cannot find it.
Where do I find the css for the tool tip box that pops up. It’s dark brown with tiny white letters. I need to change that so it’s easier to read.
Thanks!
Agree, the social profiles should be updated even in the free version…at least replace the defunct google+ with something that still exists
If this is not quite what you’re looking to do, my apologies.
I have posts that are restricted from the public, they don’t even show up on the posts page. I accomplished this by assigning a root category in wordpress default categories, not taxonomies. I go to UM’s access page and select that category in the options below the restricted content message box. Click that category and select the box to show to Restrict access to this term and its posts. Then you set it using UMs content restrictions.
It doesn’t even appear to anyone not set to access it.
e.g. restrict the post by a specific category and then lock down the category itself.
Support may have a better answer but you have the option to select who can use the search filters with only admin checked so only admin can use or see it. Either uncheck that option so anyone can use the search filters or assign the member groups directly.
Basically, your setting is only usable by Admin.

In reply to: [WP Referral Code] Question about invite statsNot sure if anyone is still around for this plugin but if so I have another question in addition to the one above about resetting the counts on cancellation.
Is there a way to show what member role the referral belongs to?
If Member A refers 6 people, some to roleA and some to roleB is there a way to show who went where?
You’ve referred 6 members
Joe Blow roleA
Jane Doe roleBetc?
Thanks. I like the plugin but a little concerned at the delays in support response. Hope all is well.
Resolved elsewhere. Can delete if you need to

Thanks so much!
Thank you!
Thaks…so to clarify…
When they upgrade, they will still have EDIT access to all of the posts made under the free account and they are in draft mode so they have to republish them to make them active or are they already active?
They still have full access to edit all their “free member” posts made while being premium members, but downgrading prevents all access to their premium member posts.
Did I understand you correctly?
Thanks so much!
Are you still deving this plugin or is it abandoend?
If you’re still around, the initial question has been resolved. I found a plugin to handle it. I am asking a different question here for specific information about this plugin if you can answer.
Is it possible with this plugin to have some sort of reward or points awarded that unlock content on a specific page without using any other plugins.
I have one page with a referral code randomly generated. I’d like that to be locked down until they earn it through whatever tasks and then get some sort of unlock event that then allows them to see that page. Or something generally along those lines.
Thanks
