Both websites are currently accessible by website1.com and website2.com , because I set up redirect through WordPress settings, so that it displays website2.com instead of website2.website1.com as it is set up on the hosting.

Folder of website2 is inside the main folder which is website1.

But status bar still displays website2.website1.com when loading.

Should I still use the tool?

How do people deal with it while having multiple websites? Aren’t all additional websites set up as subdomains by default and then redirected? What’s the best practice?

    Thank you!

Two website are completely on different subject and I don’t want visitors to know that I have another website.

I hope I don’t have to buy a separate hosting plan to keep them separate.

Thank you Rev.Voodoo! You did point me out in the right direction. I also found plugin named Custom Comment which seems like a better alternative to Custom Comment Fields Plugin or Extra Comment Fields.

Right now I am awaiting for a response from Custom Comment Developer on how to add it to my functions.php (that’s my main problem – utilizing something within my theme)

Here is a link to Custom Comment website in case someone is looking for the same information.

Adding custom comment fields should be a part of basic WordPress functionality.

Ahhh, I wish I had better internet programming skills.

    Rev.Voodoo,

Yes, I want each person to enter the Title for their comment.

thank you for quick response. That plug-in looks like exactly what I need. The only problem is that it hasn’t been updated since Jan.2011 and current version doesn’t display Custom Fields for logged in users, which I consider a big disadvantage. I will try to research that plugin this plugin more and maybe I’ll find a solution to login/display issue.

It worked on my Senior Care Community Website! Thank you very much! You can’t even imagine how long I’ve been looking for this simple line of code.

Now, does anybody know how I change “Leave a Reply” above Comment Window to something else?

Why is it bad to remove category from the slug? Because it might cause conflicts with the main site?

I guess I haven’t completely set up my mind on which I will be using between categories or groups. I like the way posts are displayed in the categories. And i like that users can comment on the posts. In the groups section, the text goes in the same discussion thread, displaying the most current opinion first, then the topic of the conversation gets lost at the bottom. I wonder if I could switch the way the comments are displayed in groups (I’d probably would have to edit BuddyPress php files, right?)

Is there a way to add a “sticky” message on top of a groups page, so that the members always know what the group is about? I know there is groups description on the page where all the groups are listed, but once you are in a group, there is no information about the group.

Thank you for your responses. BuddyPress is definitely what I was looking for and it perfectly serves my needs.

I found out how to remove the word /category from my slugs – with the help of WP No Category Base Plug-in. I am not sure whether it would create any issues for indexing pages (I assume I’d be able to fix it through robots.txt)

Is there any resource online where I can find more information on massively customizing URLs in BuddyPress. I am sure others might find it helpful. I’ll post more information when I find it.

PS WordPress community rocks! Thanks everyone for your help.

    The new version of WordPress?

Oh, and another question is whether BuddyPress would let me set permalinks the way I described?

Ipstenu, Thank you for your advice. I’ll reinstall my WordPress to SingleSite.

Are you talking about the BuddyPress plug-in or BuddyPress CMS?

Is it true that I can enable BuddyPress in WordPress 3.2.1 through config.php?
