    Yes, just mentioned it now.

The post is held in moderation for some reason though

    Ok then, try it yourself.

Try logging in with the username ‘Louise’ or ‘Leela’ and just put any password in, and see what happens.

You SHOULD get told to reset your password, but just try it and see.

As I see it, (admins excluded of course) is that any authors, or editors, or even subscribers that are already members of the website, are automatically getting blocked by WordFence when they try to login to the forum section, meaning that there is something wrong with the way that WPForo is handling registrations.

Being an Admin, I wouldn’t get blocked as I initiated the software – if i’d got blocked initially, the software would have been dumped.

These new members cannot use their present email to login either, as the forum software notices that the email they supply is a duplicate, and wont accept it.

Ok then left this on purpose until now.

My editor is still receiving the above message from WordFence that she is locked out.

Tried again with my test account on her browser, and that received the same message.

The only way I’ve been able to get around this message was when I was blocked using my admin account, and I was able to get WordFence to send a reactivation email to unblock the blocking.

Does that mean then that all of the present WordPress users (eight of them) will be banned from the forum unless I give them all admin privileges, so that WordFence can send them an unblocking email?

Right, and so to my feature request – in addition to the number of online users as mentioned above, can this be made clickable so that we can see WHO is online?

Going back to the locked out issue, my editor is still getting the WordFence message that she’s locked out.

All I can see at the moment is a light bulb icon with ‘online’, and a person icon with ‘members’.

How do I activate the online guest+users count?

Also whilst I’m here, a quick feature request?

Could it be made so that anyone online in the forum, be they guests or otherwise, show up in the forum statistics – either naturally or via the click of a button, rather that the stats just showing ‘x’ online?

Yes, I’ve got a recapcha activated.

Right, I might have found what it was.

There are EIGHT user accounts, two of which are admin accounts, three editor accounts, and three subscriber accounts in the WordPress> Users panel.

Only myself and my test account however have opened a forum account, even though It’s showing that all eight users are ‘registered users’ in the forum.

I tried logging in with one of the editor’s accounts as they wanted to join in, which is when I got the WordFence message.

I’m guessing then that the editor needs to re re register for the forum?

    Nice!

Dropped the code from the above thread into Code Snippets plugin, changed the background colour from the orangey colour to the theme post colour, and changed the font colour to white.

    Works nicely now!

…lol or I could just apply the CSS code you supplied.

Just one more thing now, would it be possible to add a CSS code to the text area box to make it less glaring in your face?

    Thread Starter deeveearr

    (@deeveearr)

Yes that’s it – and the text box looks a little glaring for a dark theme.

Ideally, the text that’s white on a white background should show up the same as the ‘re test topic’ just above it, ie as dark text on a medium/lighter background, as should the text field below – and the icons in the menu on the dark background should not disappear when you hover over them.

*edit* Just noticed the part that you highlighted saying that the editor is not part of the WpForo editor and that it’s a tinymce editor.

    I’ll try and disable that…

    No, none whatsoever.

I always knew that I was going to use the dark theme, so that’s what I enabled.

Up until this morning there was just the #wpforo-wrap for the font sizes in the CSS code, and nothing else has been touched apart from the code you just supplied, and ‘colour number 16’ to make the breadcrumbs text a little lighter.

    Thread Starter deeveearr

    (@deeveearr)

Hmmm, I’m afraid that the dark theme is just not working properly.

Just tried to add a new topic and all of the top menu is white text on a white background so there’s no perceptible addition of files, tables etc, and the #ffffff background colour on the main post looks way out of place on a dark theme.

I think then to pull it back to the default theme and to mess around with the style settings might be the best option here.

Thanks @gvectorssupportmember that works great now!

    Sure, its at https://www.midlandsmaidens.com/community/

There’s a little CSS in there now to try and bump the mobile menu up a little, but it doesn’t work on firefox.

Give me a minute whilst I rip it out, and it’s all yours.

    Thread Starter deeveearr

    (@deeveearr)

Following on from the above thread, it seems that there are two options to do this, either by adding the ‘User Profile and Notifications’ widget, or by following the link in the main menu next to the search, or of course using both options.

I’m using the ‘Dark’ theme, and the problem I’m having, is that when the ‘dark’ version of the theme is used, the menu remains hidden until you thrash about in there and maybe find it by accident.

    Quick question then:

Not wishing to go through all the options for changing the mobile menu background and icon colours, which option needs to be changed in forums>settings>styles?
