Super, working again.
Thanks Blog2Social!
Does it mean that anyone using Lets Encrypt is stuffed then?
Hope not, as it’s a nice little tool when it’s working.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] XML Sitemap Customisation?Hi Michael and thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, I already read that article, but if I SELL a website to a client, I just thought it’d be a nice little touch to have their own livery in the sitemap.
No matter though, we’ll just soldier on with the basic white one.

In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] Should be MentionedThanks guys, but I’ve gone back to Yoast for now, at least until this error is sorted out and the new Rank Math SEO editor works a little nicer.
Nothing against Rank Math, but it’s really nice to see everything working normally, with no post updating needed and no ‘grey update this post/page’ messages that really does need looking at following a migration from other SEO plugins, for even though you say that pages/posts don’t need updating, it looks really messy until you do.
Going back to the ‘Health Check’ plugin mentioned in the troubleshooting guide, with this plugin being made by WordPress themselves, you would have thought this was perfect to use for any problems, right?
WRONG I’m afraid, as on re-activating a few plugins, I found that there were a couple that had conflicts with Health Check and were fine again once I deactivated and removed it.
Ta-ta for now and I’ll keep an eye out for any improvements!

In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] Should be MentionedYes, just tried it on ‘posts’ too.
Problem is that the permalink is not saving when saving a draft, causing the above two errors.

In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] Should be MentionedI don’t know then – I’m still getting error 1 and error 2 in both posts and pages even after saving them as drafts.
This is also using the ‘Health Check’ method.
Also just installed the new version of Rank Math, but the errors are still there.
One point here – in your screencasts, why does the post/page content commence from 1/4 of the way into the post rather than from the immediate left, as is the norm with Classic Editor?
Ah well, no matter, I’ll just have to wait until the post or page is finally published before making adjustments.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] Should be MentionedNo need to make a screencast.
From YOUR screencast:
At 02.35, FREEZE the screencast and check the third item down – ‘Use focus keyword in the URL’ (as mentioned in item 2 above) and also at the same time sequence, check out item 10 – ‘URL unavailable, add a short URL (as mentioned in item 1 above).
These items will never change until the post is published and so a full SEO cannot be carried out until later, as unlike Yoast, these items are not saved on a draft saving.
As I already said though, it’s not essential as I know what the page URL will be – I just need to publish the post or page until it finally works.
Just thought it should be mentioned.

In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] Should be MentionedNot really, no.
I know for a fact that it’s the Classic Editor/Rank Math configuration as on the ‘Health Check Plugin’ scenario, everything is reverted back to default and the theme changed back to Twenty-Twenty.
It was only when I re-activated Classic Editor that Rank Math started playing up again, other than that nothing else was activated.
For further info: the problem is not with adding links into the text as per the screencast.
If you try using Rank Math and Classic Editor on a new (previously un-published) page you’ll see what I mean.
In the Rank Math dialogue of ‘things to do’ down under the page content, it reads:
1) ‘The URL is unavailable. Add a short URL.’
which also leads to:
2) ‘Use the Focus Keyword in the URL.’ which it can’t do as according to (1) the URL is unavailable.

In reply to: Site Health and wp-configThanks, but according to WordPress ‘best practices’ as defined by the Site Health plugin, they can all remain disabled.
Otherwise, the plugin wouldn’t be telling you to disable updates, would it?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site Health and wp-configAh right, I thought it might be something along those lines.
Yes, I prefer to update things manually – whoever thought of adding automatic updates as a default feature ought to have their websites decimated by a rogue plugin and see what they reckon to their ‘improvements’.

In reply to: [Rank Math SEO – AI SEO Tools to Dominate SEO Rankings] Should be MentionedOk then, got onto that straight away following coffee ??
Took one click of the troubleshooting tool to activate it, one further click to enable Rank Math (where it looks like in your demonstration), and one more click to enable ‘Classic Editor’ as I detest Guttenberg with a great passion.
Following that, I’d got the two instances mentioned in the original post, so the problem lies with Classic Editor.
Simplest troubleshooting guide ever on record!

In reply to: Categories, Tags and Custom Post TypesYes, that was the first thing I checked before adding the custom permalinks to a whole section.
It seems to give the pages a lot more structure now.

In reply to: Categories, Tags and Custom Post TypesGot it:
I just installed the Custom Permalinks plugin and I can edit the first part of the taxonomy to read /cars-online/ – and then it follows up with ‘red-cars’.
Only works post by post obviously, but it does it really well!

In reply to: Categories, Tags and Custom Post TypesThis is what I mean about hating taxonomies – you’re making perfect sense but I haven’t understood a single word.
Same as if I go to a taxonomy documentation tutorial, they make no sense to me at all.
I guess we’ll leave it as-is then, thanks anyway, Joy!

In reply to: Categories, Tags and Custom Post TypesJust looking through a few things, and it appears that my CPT’S have categories and tags added anyway.
So it’s just a case of adding categories and tags to the pages.
But using a little reverse psychology on this, how would the new page categories get shown in the CPT category list?
God, I HATE taxonomies!
