Visit: every visit which all visitors do on our site on any page (Page View)

Example: a person visits your site in a day and he navigates on 10 links
The plugin counts 1 visitor and 10 visits for that day
The plugin count visitors and visits for each day and record those counts

Is it possible to count the number of unique visitors for a certain time range?

Yes, Check the “Hit Statistics” page, But it counts 1 count for each IP in every day not for whole range

Do you use any Cache plugin on your WordPress?
Actually cache plugins prevent WP Statistics to log the visits,
But we are trying to fix this issue if you even use a cache plugin
So please wait about 1 month , We will consider that
You can temporary disable the cache plugin to log the visits
if you have any other problem related to this support request, Please change the status of this request to “not resolved”

Actually these things are not related to WP Statistics
May be they are set in your theme,
WP Statistics doesn’t display anything except the site admin let it to display that
So please contact your theme developer and ask to remove that

So X-Forwarded-For is a way for forwarding client IP address, Not server IP address
It uses when a server is behind a proxy

But we try to add an option for this matter, which you can be able to prevent preferring X-Forwarded-For over REMOTE_ADDR

Which version of WP Statistics you are using?
We recently have an update, Please update it to latest version and recheck it
Also please check your permissions on wp-content/uploads/wp-statistics
The plugin should be able to write files on this path (folder)
if you have any problem after these changes, please change the status of this support request to “not resolved”
