Bluehost fixed this super quickly via livechat. I asked what the problem was and this is what they said:

In wp-config.file I had to add “define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘100M’);” code. And ran few scripts to fix any issue.

@markbgregory90 I’m having that issue too. Can’t upload any files without getting the error message. I also have bluehost, I will let you know if I can get it figured out!

I started having the same issue today, and even for smaller files I still get an error and can’t upload. I’m also on Bluehost, waiting for live chat right now… I’ll let you know if they resolve the issue!

Installed this plugin and re-uploaded the photos… fixed the problem!!

Changing the settings to 0 definitely helped. Still doesn’t look quite perfect but it’s a big improvement. Is there any way to fix the problem more permanently? I used to just upload larger file sizes and click the “large” display and they all uploaded perfectly crisp & clear.

My side by side comparison wasn’t zoomed in, that’s just a cropped portion of how that image looks at full size when viewed on my site. I pulled the other one up in photo viewer to take a screen shot side by side. Both are the same file, same size & dimensions.

I’m not understanding why if I save my original image at 768×1155, and then upload it, it suddenly looks blurry on WP. This wasn’t happening before today. Thanks for helping me try to troubleshoot, this has been frustrating me all day!

When you say media settings… do you mean to hover over Settings, then Media, then change all the image dimension values to 0 (as in max width:0 max height:0)?

Willing to try anything I just want to make sure I’m following the fix you’re describing!

Just tried that and unfortunately it didn’t work, thank you for the suggestion though! I’ve also tried turning off all plugins, and switching to a different theme and those didn’t affect it either.

Joseph, this is going to sound really obtuse but how do I install this plugin? I’m having a fuzzy image problem and it sounds like this might fix it.

Just turned all the plugins off then switched to 2015 theme, didn’t seem to make a difference unfortunately. I still just get the “schedule” button and no “publish” button ??
