As an addition to Tumling79’s post above. I also got an image to show up by posting in a group. So maybe the problem is not just the plug in but Facebook as well.

I think my problem might be different than some. After the upgrade I had social sharing functions in jetpack stop working and the two problems seem to be related. At first the share counts would not show up. After I found a work around for that I lost my images.

I have disabled wordpress seo and deleted it and am currently searching for an alternate that will display the images correctly. I have used wordpress seo for maybe 2 years now but my loyalty is to what works and this does not seem to be working.

Same problem. No image showing on Facebook at all. It shows the correct image in the code but Facebook cannot fetch it.

Jeremy it worked. Thanks a million. It took me awhile because there are no line numbers in my editor, but I found it and simply cut and paste your fix. It seems to be working.

It seems to be catching up but running maybe 2 hours behind. It started this late yesterday evening for me but is still catching up. When I look at the bar graph up top, my two most recent hours are near zero, but the previous hours are filling in. When I went to bed last night I had around 28,000 views for yesterday at 11PM Central. This morning I find that I had somewhere around 36,000 views total yesterday. There is no way I received 8000 in an hour so I know it is catching up. Please be aware that I didn’t start having the problem until the early evening hours. After it started I’d say about 60-80% of my traffic was not counted. But it was caught up while I slept. I just don’t know how long it might take. Be patient folks, this is progress…at least on my end.

I don’t have GA but according to an ad program that counts my views I am at around 4200 for the day and showing 1900 as of 5AM. This can’t be considered completely accurate but it should be in the ballpark.

It just started happening to me about 4-5 hours ago. I was fine until then.
