In reply to: Can't read the plugin and hack forumsUltimately, it was harmless a harmless script. I did add another plug-in, “Bad Behavior”, that filters out a lot of those questionable spiders and the various spammers. That’s probably what’s been keeping my site clean.

In reply to: Can't read the plugin and hack forumsIt was Stat Surfer. And I don’t remember what happened at the time, but it was an update that was causing users Dashboards to crash. He fixed the bug within a couple of days and once the update was released, everything started working fine and I haven’t seen Yellow Fish on my site, since.
There have been a couple of updates since that I think coincided with the updates to wordpress, but I haven’t paid close enough attention because my site’s been running smoothly ever since.

In reply to: Can't read the plugin and hack forumsIt actually ended up not being a hack but a bug in one of my plug-ins that shut down my dashboard but it coincided with that spider. It’s harmless. Once the bug was fixed, everything returned to normal.

In reply to: [StatSurfer] [Plugin: StatSurfer] Error while plugin installation/updateI noticed that this problem appears to be with all statistics plugins since I deactivated Statsurfer and installed Hitsniffer and I’m still having the problem with this new plugin. It says that there’s an update available and while the update appears to go through the dashboard still says the update is available. The warnings don’t appear all the time, though.
The program can be deactivated and deleted and reinstalled but it will eventually, after I tried to update it several times, show the error messages.

In reply to: [StatSurfer] Cannot activate plugin StatSurferI am also not able to update my statsurfer, but I do not have another stats plugin installed. When I update from either the plugin page or the dashboard it says the plugin was updated but that the update is also still available.
I’ve also gotten error messages when I try to update it more than once or twice. I’ve deleted and reinstalled it hoping that would work but it still says I have an update available.
Never mind. Now it’s working. I think I did something hinky the first time or deleted something the original tag.
Thanks. I tried that, but it didn’t seem to work. I used it in the regular edit post area of the admin page in the HTML option, but it didn’t seem to have any effect and then when I went to look at it again it was gone. Does it matter if it’s an edited post?
