I apologize for the issues. We are working on a fix and it should be resolved soon. It doesn’t affect every plugin user, but some sites are having high latency when reaching out our API server, which is causing the timeouts.
thanks,

That’s very interesting. The plugin should not cause the 504’s and we were never able to duplicate this problem.
Would you be open to let us troubleshoot it on your environment? If you don’t mind emailing me at [email protected], I will get you the steps to help us with the troubleshooting.
thanks,
The easiest way is to go to your php.ini and add “/public_html/wp-content/uploads/sucuri” to your “open_basedir” option.
Details on open_basedir here: https://www.php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php#ini.open-basedir
thanks,
That’s expected. When you update WordPress it will change some files, so the integrity monitor will let you know of what was modified.
thanks,
The plugin would not cause it. Try removing the plugin and check if the problem persists.
thanks,
Is there more to the notification? Can you paste the whole message? It might be a plugin storing some data in a custom post type.
thanks,
That should work. What error exactly are you getting? The dashboard is not allowing you to set the log file? Or is it being set, but not logged there?
These are log files that are constantly changing, so seems ok.
To be on the safe side, I would recommend to look at their content and if you don’t see anything malicious, just ignore them for the integrity check changes.
thanks!
I am not familiar with this other plugin, so can’t tell much if it is working or not.
And yes, if you go to settings , you can choose what alerts to send via email. Just disable the email alerts for failed logins and you should be good.
thanks,
That’s not possible right now. You can close it, but it will show up next time you login.
*If you are a dev, PR’s are welcome for this functionality. Send it here: https://github.com/Sucuri/sucuri-wordpress-plugin
thanks,
That file is used by our Server-Side scanner (paid service), so you need to keep it in there for it to work.
*Note that it is not used or related to the WordPress plugin.
thanks!
Yes, looks like an API communication issue. Can you confirm if you can access wordpress.sucuri.net from your server?
