In reply to: How to change permalinks via editing code?WORKS !
What needed to be done is while the page dispalyed that internal error message I had to log on to FTP and delete .htaccess – then it was enough to reload the page and default permalinks were there.
Chris_K thank you for the hint ??

In reply to: Changed permalinks & my site has an internal errorIt does not work. Deleting .htaccess does not revert back to default permalinks. I can access the main site at https://kupasmiechu.ovh.org but any look at the post links etc. They all have pretty permalinks and once they are clicked the internal error is back.
I need to somehow change the permalinks back to default to make it work…

I did what you told me – deleted .htaccess and then website was on again. I went to wp-admin and options and tried to changed permalinks back from ‘month’ to ‘default’ and again I was hit with the internal error. I realized that my server does not support permalinks so now I want to get back to default but…
the case is – if I delete .htaccess – whatever I would do it gets created again and site goes down.
Is there a way to delete .htaccess and change back to default again ?

In reply to: [qTranslate2] does not work with 2.7.1 – permissions issueProblem solved.
I am running polish (default) and english.
What needs to be done is the wp_default_secert_key value must be the same in 3 files.wp-content/languages file PL_pl.php should contain:
$wp_default_secret_key = 'whatever';
wp-config.php should contain:
define('AUTH_KEY', 'whatever'); // Change this to a unique phrase. define('SECURE_AUTH_KEY', 'whatever'); // Change this to a unique phrase. define('LOGGED_IN_KEY', 'whatever'); // Change this to a unique phrase.
AND wp-settings.php should have there somewhere:
$wp_default_secret_key = 'whatever';
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [qTranslate2] does not work with 2.7.1 – permissions issuenoone experiences the same problem?
I have a similar issue. Don’t know why upgrade to 2.7.1 is causing so many problems…
Got the “you do not have permissions” message so I deactivated all the plugins by changing the plugins directory name on the server. Then I could go back to admin menu and manually activate the plugins again. All but one is still causing problems – qTranslate2. Whenever I try to acrivate qTranslate it shows me the ‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” message. I am still logged in as admin but cannot go to admin panel.
website is https://dczepiel.pl
Everything worked just fine before the 2.7.1 automatic upgrade so it must have been something wrong with it.Anybody can help?
