In reply to: [Participants Database] Searchability of listHi, Xnau. First, excellent plugin. Second, you are the most patient and polite developer I’ve ever witnessed! Thank you for being so helpful.
In regard to your comment above: I’ve spent a lot of time building the form and the database, and training admins how to use the plugin options, and promising everyone involved in the project that this plugin would do what we needed. It never occurred to me that the plugin would not have multiple-field search capabilities! Not your fault, of course, I should have researched a little deeper before getting so deep into it.
I simply must have the ability to search multiple fields on the front end, just as I do on the back end (on the List Participants page). But trashing everything I’ve done so far and starting over with a new plugin, if I can find one, is a distressing thought. And everything else about this plugin is so fantastic.
I was relieved to read your response to iam2me3 above where you say that it is possible to search multiple fields at once. It means that I am not dead in the water just yet. But then you say it is not particularly simple, so maybe I am, because I don’t know if I can handle it. I’m also on quite a time crunch, so the hair-pulling has already begun.
I know your time is valuable and that you are probably very busy, but is there any way you can give me a brief overview of what is necessary to create this functionality? Ideally, it would mean creating a front end version of the List Participants page (in the admin area of the plugin) on the front end, but anything you can think of to get me closer to that would be GREATLY appreciated.
I would gladly hire you for this, but I know that you are busy and probably couldn’t get to it for a while, and I need it right away, so I’ll have to do it myself, if you are able to point me in the right direction, and if I am able to figure it out. I would pay you even if you could just get me started with maybe a brief explanation or code snippet(s) or general approach. Thanks for any help you can give…

In reply to: [Participants Database] Multiselect dropdowns?I’m sorry. No, I mean you’ve got multiselect checkboxes as an option, but no multiselect dropdowns. How can I make the dropdowns multiselect?

In reply to: [Participants Database] Multiselect dropdowns?Great. Thank you. How about the multiselect part? Is that possible?

In reply to: [Participants Database] filter using Dropdown list valuesActually, what would be great is if the search filters available to admins on the back end were also available to visitors on the front end.

In reply to: [FG Joomla to WordPress] Error and Not UnderstandingWell, the replies looked like duplicates, but I guess that’s just because there were several under the same topic. I think I’m good. Just have to run the importer 50 times or so…I’m still getting that same php error, though. Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

In reply to: [FG Joomla to WordPress] Error and Not UnderstandingHi, Kerfred. I sent a few emails to support@xxx. I don’t know if that’s you, but I see you are the plugin author, so…excellent!
I’m having trouble getting all of my Kunena topics and replies to transfer. I have 11,000 topics and more than 100,000 replies, but the plugin is only transferring a small fraction of those.
This is the PHP warning I get:
Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=15205 in /home/boston28/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/fg-joomla-to-wordpress-premium-kunena-module/fgj2wp-kunena.php on line 416
I increased my memory limit to 1G in wp-config and php.ini. I also increased the max_execution_time and the max_input_time by x1000.
Still, I’m getting the same error. The total topics and replies which do successfully transfer is always 395 and 2605, respectively. That’s the most I can get.
Are you saying I can just run the importer again (without deleting all WordPress content) and the plugin will just continue where I left off? There won’t be any duplicates? But then why would it say “If you want to rerun the import, you must empty the WordPress content with the button hereafter.”? I don’t mind running the importer 50 times, if it will do what I need, without importing duplicates. Again, why that warning about deleting WordPress content?
I re-ran the importer without deleting all wordpress content first, and the number of topics and replies increased, but I can’t tell if they’re duplicates or not. It seems like they are, but I don’t know. I’ll keep running it and see what happens, but please let me know what you think about it. Thanks.

In reply to: [ForumConverter] Converter kunena 3.0 to bbpressI’m talking about Kerfred’s suggested plugin which I bought, not the Forum Converter plugin. Guess I’m in the wrong place…
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [ForumConverter] Converter kunena 3.0 to bbpressI think it has to do with the version of Kunena I have. The PHP Warning says:
Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=15205 in /home/boston28/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/fg-joomla-to-wordpress-premium-kunena-module/fgj2wp-kunena.php on line 416
That line has to do with a conditional db query, the condition being “If the Kunena version is less than 2.0.0, use this query. Otherwise, use this query.” My Kunena version is 1.7.0, so I really don’t know how to fix this.

In reply to: [ForumConverter] Converter kunena 3.0 to bbpressIt would be great if it would import ALL of the topics and replies from Kunena to bbPress. I have 11,000 topics and 100,000 replies in my Kunena forum, but the plugin will only import a VERY small fraction of them. I’m hoping it’s just a problem with my settings and not a problem with the plugin, because I really want it to work. Any advice? Anyone?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Visual Tab not workingMy Visual tab was empty. Very frustrating. I fixed it within five minutes of visiting this thread. I added this:
define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);
to my wp-config.php file, and like magic the problem was solved! Thanks WPyogi and Jan.
No, it literally deleted the entire site. I forgot what specific error it was, but it was whatever happens when there are no files at all on the server. I know I can’t use Flash for mobile devices, but I was hoping that it would be adaptive so that Flash would be used for the desktop browsers and regular slideshows would be shown on mobile devices. I reverted back to Version 1.9.13 and now everything is working the way I want. No offense, but I’m afraid to try again with the new version. Maybe in the future on another site when I am not under the gun (a deadline).
