I am releasing a new version that addresses all notices this week.
You do not have to uninstall the free version, but you should definitely deactivate it.

I checked my server logs and we were only offline for about 20 mins.

The errors you describe are configuration errors, not technical errors with the plugin. Do you have a paid support license?
