You can either use a WordPress Photography Theme, or use a gallery plugin and integrate it with an existing theme. I haven’t personally used nextgen-gallery, but while it seems to always have mixed reviews, a lot of sites use it…so it must be pretty good.

You should be fine using either a theme or a theme framework. Most frameworks (and many themes) include outstanding options panels on the WordPress backend that let you customize your site without touching any code.

After searching for a while trying to find a plugin to do this, I figured out it can be done easily through the Bulk Post Editor.
