In reply to: Scheduled posts not publishing in 3.4.1It published. So, it appears to be the Windows Live Writer application. Thanks for your help. Although I have to work around this one, it appears to be resolved. Would you agree?
Edit: After the test published, I deleted it.

In reply to: Scheduled posts not publishing in 3.4.1If it works, it will publish at 7:40 EST–just a couple of minutes away.

In reply to: Scheduled posts not publishing in 3.4.1Okay. I’ll give it a try. I will publish a draft, and then go to WP to “schedule” it a few minutes later.

In reply to: Scheduled posts not publishing in 3.4.1I don’t know. I almost always use WLW to compose and publish. But still, it worked before.

In reply to: Scheduled posts not publishing in 3.4.1Windows Live Writer. It has always worked before, although I do not use it frequently.

In reply to: Scheduled posts not publishing in 3.4.1Not that much, maybe an average of 50/day. I have had a higher views during this “non-publishing” period–about 200+. That is not much at all. I noticed that WP did not have an “AM” or “PM” in the time, where as Windows Live Writer does.

In reply to: SQL attack on wpress 2.9.2Both my site and my wife’s site (hosted on Network Solutions) have been hacked. Initially, we solved the problems by restoring previous DB backups, but were hacked again.
I’ve been reading all of the comments and solutions, and the fact that Network Solutions wants everyone to sit tight until there is a fix. In the meantime, to protect our visitors, we moved our WP files into a new directory, and used Network Solutions web site builder tool, Image Cafe, to create a one-page “we’re having technical difficulties” site. This protects our viewers and gives us a breather from trying to fix this problem until a clear solution is detected.
https://www.SojournChronicles.comIt’s hard to sit back and not do anything about this, but it might be the wise thing to do letting the engineers and technicians figure it out.

In reply to: Comments not displaying in postsIt is fixed. The problem was a plugin that was not compatible with 2.7.
I really liked Move Comments by Rilwis, but it is now deactivated.

In reply to: Comments not displaying in postsI tried going backwards to an earlier version of K2. No change. Reinstalled K2 RCL7. No change.
I did a full upgrade (delete/install)of 2.7. No change.

In reply to: Podcasting and flash filesFollowup: I installed the embed flash player, and it seems to work okay, but not in visual editing WYSIWYG. It requires you to enter in code. Okay, not convenient, but it works. I used podPress and “other” format, and it does exactly what I do now–opens in a new window. That’s what I am trying to get away from.

Any ideas or suggestions?

In reply to: Insert image in header?Greetings! I am new here, but thought I could contribute to this thread. I agonized over using WordPress or Moveable Type, and finally went with WP–not because of price, but because of the apparent, wonderful community support.
One of the things I wanted to do was make a very basic change to the header in the Classic theme so that I could personalize my sites. With some of the instructions mentioned previously and elsewhere in the forums, I simply opened the kubrickheader.jpg file on my computer in Photoshop. In the first attempt, I laid one of my photos over it in a layer (cropped to the same size of course), saved it and FTPd it to the proper folder on my site. That was the only change I had to make and it is sooooooo personalized! See for yourself at https://www.RuralChronicles.com.
Then I tried the same thing with a one of my photos cropped to the proper header size and named it kubrickheader.jpg. Then I FTPd this file to the web site. And, it looks great. See https://www.SojournChronicles.com.
I think this is amazing. I envision changing these header images frequently so that I can highlight my photography and drive customers to my Photo Store, https://www.DBrent.com.
I have to thank those who came before me for posting all of this wonderful information to making a great blogging space.
