Yep have done, still no joy, site determined not to display static page

Tried disabling all plugins and changing the theame but to no avail. WordPress still showing blog on homepage :/ Is there somewhere I can hardcode this option, at this point I am considering a reinstall. This all started when I changed the permalinks

Yes I have, works without the htaccess file, so obviously something in the file causing the issue
