that was weird though, i’ve never had that happen, and i’ve had a few wordpress blogs running for several years now.

same here, the blog looks OK from the outside, but the dashboard is screwed up.

yeah ive tried all kinds of things, re-uploading, re-installing, deactivating plugins, etc..

surely someone must know the problem?

i tried deactivating the plugins already, but nothing changes.

that got rid of the ERROR 500 so far, but my dashboard still looks screwed up. What in the world is going on, and why is this just recently happening to people?

i’ve been getting the ERROR 500 on all kinds of things, like when I try to edit a post, or sometimes make a new post, or sometimes just trying to access the admin dashboard.

on one of my blogs, if Akismet is activated, i get ERROR 500 when I try to post a new entry, but if I deactivate Akismet, i can post (but I still have other problems with the admin section of the blog).

This has all started happening in just the last week.

surely someone here has tried to embed a simple .swf banner in one of their wordpress widgets.

please someone give me an idea that will work.

^^^ i have the 1.25 Automatic Upgrade plugin, and i still cant auto upgrade to 2.8.2

any other ideas?

right, i’m fully aware that i can manually upgrade, however, i would like to have Automatic Upgrade working correctly..
