It depends with who you want the data to be displayed to and where? for instance, does your client want the data to be displayed to their audience (or customers) which would mean that this functionality would be presented in the front end of the website for their customers to use or would this functionality be exclusively for the client, who i assume is the web administrator and hence he wants to privately access the information (names and values from excel document) in the wordpress dashboard of his/her site?

In reply to: Create database with search functionalityThere are somethings we need to know about your client’s site for us to help you. To begin with, is their website a wordpress site? If not what language was their site developed in?
Assuming the site is a wordpress site you could convert the excel files with the data of the names and values like this and then use this wordpress plugin to convert the csv files and save them into your wordpress database which you can search and return values.
If the site is not a wordpress site then you would have to write a program that has the above functions i just explained which is easy for an intermediate web developer. Let me know if this answers your question.

Summary:
The problem is a bug in the latest version of Chrome 45. Your Chrome auto-updated to it recently. The Chrome team has been informed of the issue.
Workaround for now:
– Go to chrome://flags/#disable-slimming-paint
– Enable the “Disable slimming paint” option.
– Ensure that the “Enable slimming paint” option below it is not turned on.
