No Jorge. I ended up going with PMPro. The support was horrible too, by the way.
Thank you for your reply.
As a developer, my frustration comes from a plug-in that delivers a significant amount of power, but lacks clarity into their model. They try hard though. I understand the terms in the codex, however, when things are written such as “This doest actually mean x but could mean y” it is unclear what a particular class actually does.I am frustrated because I have implemented 10 different solutions, all ranging from leveraging level 1 as the only level to using the solution of level 1,2 and 3 as noted in your response. And still none have worked.
I respect that you think I should use dripping, however, manually adding dripping to 240 pages and then continually managing dripping on a per page basis can lead to long term disaster and is not a good long term solution. Manual implementation is a last resort. I dont mind writing code.
It seems a smarter and less manual solution would be to use ccaps.
Whether it is ccaps or levels or angel’s halos the question still remains:Does a notification exist that tells me when a user has made a subscription payment? If so, what is that notification? and How is it triggered?
KTS915 thanks for your reply.
I am looking for an answer… definitely.
I understand the levels, ccaps, and how dripping content works. I put 24 pages, but in fact it is about 240 pages of content. So dripping on a per page basis is not a good long term solution. I am looking for something requiring a little less user intervention to reduce common errors as the system grows at about 10-20 pages per week.
What I really want to know is this:
Once the user makes a payment is there a way to upgrade their level AUTOMATICALLY.First payment is level 1; second payment is level 2.
If not levels, the can I automatically apply new ccaps on a payment basis?
Also roles (levels) will be added in the future, so something that automates this will be much better.
I was told that pro forms should work, but I dont see how to do it automatically.
I made a mistake so I am editing my previous information a bit.

There are 240 Pages on my site. Each page has premium content. If the user is a FULL PAY USER they get access to all pages.
If they are a 6 PAY MEMBER they get access to 4 additional pages every time they make a payment.
If they are a 3 PAY MEMBER they get access to 8 additional pages every time they make a payment. All users should have access to the pages that they paid for even if their installment payment does not go through.
I can use CCAPS or whatever necessary.

I tried Levels
Level 1 has access to pages 1-4
Level 2 has access to pages 1-8
Level 3 has access to pages 1-12
Level 4 has access to pages 1-16
Level 5 has access to pages 1-20
Level 6 has access to pages 1-24This would work IF there was a way for me to know which payment a user has made.
I.e. on a 6 pay plan the first payment would have access to level 1, second payment would be level 2, etc.On a 3 pay plan the first payment would have access to level 2; second payment would have access to level 4, etc.
****************************Regardless of which level a user has access to, the goal is for them to keep access to the information they already paid for.
The only thing I have been told is that this “should” work with Pro Forms.
i am using the pro version of s2Member
I sent the ticket but their support reads that they do not handle this. It’s pretty clearly spelled out. We’ll see. Hopefully someone has run into this and has an idea about it.
hmmm… the only options they have are Bug Report, Pre-Sale Inquiry, Trouble Ticket, Account Issue, and Billing.
I dont have any of the above. I’ll try presale inquiry even though I am already a customer.
We’ll see.
LOL!
Support does not answer those questions – at all. I have to count on the forums.
Really? They don’t check the forums? I didn’t know that.
In regards to auto-eot, i am thinking that I could set the expiration to be the day the customer was placed at level 6 plus 100 years.
The challenge that I am running into is that the documentation is a little confusing. For example: One of my questions is:
Does the s2member_paid_registration_time look at the last time a user made a payment or the last time I moved them to a higher level? If so – what do I need to do to check the payment?
The reason I asked that is because the documentation reads: A Paid Registration Time, is NOT necessarily related specifically to a Payment. s2Member records a Paid Registration Time, anytime a User acquires paid Membership Level Access.
Which means that I might be moving up a user based on the last time I moved them and not based on the last time that they paid.
Based on that, it seems like I should be retrieving payment data from some sort of PayPal IPN variable rather than they Paid Registration variable.
So – I kinda need to guys that know all the back-end stuff to check this out and tell me if I am missing something based on what they know.
We are talking about people’s money. And the number one way to lose a customer is to mess up billing.
Oh – The software and environment. I am an S2Member Pro Owner. The environment is the latest wordpress environment. THe payment process is through Paypal – not PayPal pro.
