  • Yep I have exactly the same problem as well. Rolling back to previous versions of wordpress ie. 5.5 did not solve the issue either.

Perhaps you would like to change your review to a lower rating? 5 star means good!

Reverting Yoast to version 14.8.1 using WP Rollback does the trick, so I will mark as resolved.

    Thanks Andrew,
I tried both but I am getting the same issue, I will keep experimenting to see if I can find the issue.
In the meantime I will keep merging of java script disabled. That keeps the functionality.

I’ve discovered it’s a problem with merging java script files. However, I don’t know which java file is responsible for displaying the hero.

Hi Harshad, Thanks for your reply!

I don’t think I have lazy load turned on- I understand it’s a premium feature, while I have the free feature.

I will try again tonight, hopefully it is to do with how I configured the settings rather than the plugin itself.

    Thanks,
    David

Can you explain how or why it breaks the site? Are you sure it’s not something else you have done?

    Hi @hcabrera
Thanks for your help, I will follow your advice. The plugin seems to work fine now.

    Cheers,
    David
