are you trying to upload the file in the Media Library or are you using some extra plugin (ie: gravityforms, …)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Extra File Types] Not Working with Gravity Formsi finally got some answer by Gravity Forms team:
We have not made any changes to upload validation. I would only assume that the customer did not have the plugin configured correctly. Anyone we have recommended the plugin to has reported that it resolved their issue. Thank you.

In reply to: [WP Extra File Types] What about normal .html files? The plugin has been designed, and tested, from the beginning to work with the standard Media Library, having WordPress so many plugins available i’m unable to check every configuration and every plugin. Do you have issues also using the Media Library ?
After your request i’ve seen that on WPForms website they are suggesting the usage of my plugin (i wasn’t aware of this) so i can try getting in touch with them but i need some extra info by you:
– your wpforms settings
– your wp extra file types settings
– a sample file you are unable to uploadUpdate: i just sent WPForms team a support request making them aware of the problem you reported here and asking them to give in this thread information to help you (and me) fix the problem

In plugin’s description you can read “[…]This plugin let you add file types to the default list of file extensions supported by the Media Library upload procedure.[…]”
ps.
The plugin is still supported, not having anymore so much free time you can experience some delay in my answersupdate: i’m asking Gravity Forms team to give us some support (i wasn’t aware they are suggesting on their website to use my plugin)

In reply to: [WP Extra File Types] Check only file extensions not working WordPress 5.0.3“Check only file extensions” skip checking real mime-type, this is necessary when server running WordPress determine a type for a file different from the one registered in the plugin (and this can happen often and/or for specific files) , if you force mime-type check this workaround become useless.

In reply to: [WP Extra File Types] Can you please change your pluginthanks for the suggestione, i’m looking at the link you gave me to plan a future plugin’s upgrade.
I just want to add a note: the script “get-mime.php” in my plugin is only executed by me when recreating the mime types list, it’s not called every time the plugin is used and it’s not intended to be called by users or by other scripts.
