In reply to: [Events Manager - OpenStreetMaps] Zoomed in still gives grey screenP.S. This is with the latest version of your excellent plugin, like the ability to change the icon colour (and even map type) by location but would be even better if we could choose the icon colour by hex code

In reply to: [Events Manager - OpenStreetMaps] Max zoom gives a grey screenIronically the method is to go and fix it on open maps, that would be fine if it was broken on open maps but it’s not LOL Just as bad as trying to fix pistes on Google it seems LOL

https://maps.wikimedia.org/#12/46.7135/7.7972 see that little river between Thun and Interlaken ?
It’s actually a huge lake https://www.google.com/maps/place/Interlaken,+Switzerland/@46.7038094,7.680409,11.44z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x1453996a31921a05:0x9c111af14c02be00!8m2!3d46.6863481!4d7.8632049
I know global warming is a thing but it hasn’t yet dried up Lake Thun which is over 12km long, up to 2km wide and hundreds of meters deep

In reply to: [Events Manager - OpenStreetMaps] Max zoom gives a grey screenThanks Patrick
To be honest I actually prefer the ArcGIS TopoMap to Googles maps because I don’t have to remove all the incorrect data, annoyingly a few years back Google decided to add ski pistes to their maps, the pistes are not always correct and because Google decided to no longer support ski pistes they have kept the data on the maps but there is no method of fixing incorrect data ….

In reply to: [Events Manager - OpenStreetMaps] Max zoom gives a grey screenHi Patrick
You may be right I tried every Map Style option available from your plugin (settling on the ArcGIS TopoMap because for me it was the easiest to read, but not one of them allowed me to go to 19, there appears to be no way within the plugin to change the map server at the moment and I am loathed to try and delve into your code just to make that change, but what I actually meant was that it would be nice if one could set a maximum magnification level on the map not just a starting level

In reply to: [Events Manager - OpenStreetMaps] Different Colour Map PinsHi Patrick
To answer the first part, my inclination would be to add a Locations Category using ACF but that would only work for me, a better option would be to add something to the settings for each location so you could choose a colour (or even a custom icon and colour) per location, this would be amazing as you could for example show restaurants or bars on a map by including a knife and fork or a drinks glass as well as a colour which you might use as a guide to how expensive it is to go there
As to the second part, I guess it has to be both, if you are looking at a single location then you want to be able to just show that one icon, but on the locations map you would want to be able to show say all the restaurants

In reply to: [Events Manager - OpenStreetMaps] 2 Small issuesWhen you use the shortcode to display the map, it always seems to start at maximum mahnification no matter what you have set in the settings AND ot displays as a grey box with just the location icon and the controls, as soon as you zoom up manually just one click it all displays correctly
