I figured out my problem. It was user error. I had forgotten that adding access to categories automatically added access to a post in that category.

Yes, I’m having the same issue. I haven’t done enough testing to figure out what’s triggering the problem, but the role that can’t be deselected was never selected in the first place.

I have three roles. If I create a new post and select two roles and publish the post, the third role is automatically added and cannot be deselected because it’s grayed out.

Just thought I’d chime as I was having a similar problem. I had created an import file with Excel and nothing would import. Always came up with a goose egg after trying to import the CSV.

I opened my CSV file in BBEdit, did a Save As with LF line breaks and UTF-8 encoding and it worked perfectly.

I use Excel (Mac) about once every six months so I assume it was adding some overhead or I just don’t know where the settings are to save a correctly formatted file for this purpose.

That seems to have worked. I think this was part user error too. When I added the font to the Title area, the preview didn’t change. I thought changing that font would cascade to the other levels. I added the font to each level and it worked.

I think I found the root of the issue, but can’t say for sure. I went through your plugin and renamed as many classes and ids I could find that might conflict with Simple Files, but the problem persisted.

I noticed that both plugins are using jQuery UI for dragging and sorting. jQuery UI from Simple Files was loading on the groups pages, even though it wasn’t being implemented via shortcode. Maybe the two versions of jQuery UI are conflicting?

I installed Plugin Organizer and stopped Simple Files from loading on group pages. It doesn’t work on them anyway. Since I did that sorting works as expected in BGPE.

Yeah, I didn’t know the source of the issue so no finger-pointing here. BPGE was just unlucky enough to exhibit the problem.

I think I’ve found the problem. If I’m reading this correctly, this feature is broken in BuddyPress core.

I’ve found a solution for this. I am also using the Genesis Simple Edits plugin so that may be where the problem lies.

Bill Erickson wrote a post about creating a shortcode that displays the author in the post info. https://www.billerickson.net/wordpress-post-multiple-authors/

Added this shortcode to Simple Edits and the correct author appears in the post info as well as the Author Box now.
