I have just had a crack at moving the index and leaving WP in folder, it works fine after moving the Wp .htacess and does what i need without showing where the wp installation is in the URL bar.

Does this affect any seo or does the above style of installation appear as its all in the root to google??

I have spoke to hostgator and you cannot access the WP-admin until nameservers are changed.

Im not sure if this would work so again any advice…

Fully build site at: https://www.maindomain.com/fullsite

Then change fullsite folder to ‘localhoney.co.uk’

Alter UK2 nameservers

Should point at fullsite built website… hmmmm?

Not sure what needs changing within WP though

I have been doing some reading regarding custom fields. I still cant work out how to now add to display other values such as ‘sizes_value’ without using the above code in its entirety and changing ‘prices’ to’ sizes’

Sorry I didnt make that clear!

Say I am making a template for a certain page and add a link to a page in my WP site such as https://www.mysite.com/forum it will be a static

What i need is a way to link to the /forum page but not using the URL but dynamically.

Soooo if I change the forum page permalink to https://www.mysite.com/forumsforall the link I made automatically points there…

I just hadnt quite got it!!

In the end the css I used is as follows

#dropmenu .page-item-153 a{
background-color: #0099CC;
}

I can now specify the drop downs BG colour
