thanks for the reply. i’ve tried squible and really liked it and hemingway is too buggy right now. i’ve never converted a theme to wordpress but i will give it a try. thanks a lot.

yes, it’s structure is quite confusing but i am working with it so hopefully i will understand it one day. i found the answer i was looking for. thanks for the help.

i must have misunderstood. i thought you were telling me to look there, not post my question there. (and the php scaring me was not in reference to the forum, but in reference to the help offered)

well, in my defense, they are all only slightly modified templates of other themes. you see, i am new to wordpress and everything that comes along with it so i wanted to experiment and see what i could do with it. eventually, i will make my own theme but when i do, i want to know exactly how to do it and exactly what i want it to look like. all of those experiments are just stops on my journey.

well, in your opinion, what can i do to make it better?

and by full page, i meant that it wasn’t the typical, centered, 600px, 2 column layout… thats all.

everything looks great in safari

the site is no longer up but the pictures were below the boxes

when viewing your site in Safari on my mac, the images in the header jump out of their boxes. otherwise, great job!

i did some modification of the Blix theme on my website, https://www.davekoen.com. there are 4 themes on the site. one is pretty much the blix theme exactly and 2 are pretty modified.
