I just installed 2.3.2, and can confirm it occurs when creating a post in IE7. Image insertion in Firefox works as intended.

I’m not sure if you mean all works fine if you do that in IE7, but when I do that it still has the same behaviour — disappearing image…

I have the exaact same problem. It appeared when I installed 2.3.2 today, I was using 2.0 prior to that.
