I’ve been trying to do this too. Thereare loads of answers kicking around which involve putting code in the Custom CSS etc but none work.

I’ve tried:

    display: none;
}

.home img.header-image {
    display: initial;
}

and

.page #headerimg {
display: none;
}

and

/* ================================================ */
/* CSS to remove header image area from all pages */
/* ================================================ */
div.header-image-container {
display: none !important;

None worked.

I thought I’d be able to do it by ticking a box. Apparently not!

I used this code from the reply which seems to work OK. Pop it in the Custom CSS.

I’ve just tried that. I get the message,

Server Error

‘The website encountered an error while retrieving https://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?…It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly

Sorry for the delay replying. I tried Firebug and Chrome’s ‘Inspect Element’ function but neither really told me much!

I suspect most of my live blogging will be done from an Android phone in one hand with a placard or flag in the other. Image uploads from Android would be pretty essential.

It’s good to know it’s planned (or ‘on the roadmap’ if you prefer) for the next version.

Aye, true, though I suspect folk would just follow the tweets rather than going to the live blog.

Still, so long as the information gets out there I don’t suppose it matters where it’s being read from. Horses for courses. Fortunately I don’t run a commercial site so don’t have to worry about driving up hits for money.

Even better, I’ve never had to us the ghastly, vile, horrendous word, ‘monetize.’ ??

Although it might distract people away from the blog it could also attract quite a few.

Hi Kreg. Thanks for the quick reply.

I enabled the confirmations to cut down on potential spam signatures and I know most of the folk who’ve signed so far.

I installed the SMPT plug in which I think has done the job. Most of the unconfirmed signatures were on Hotmail addresses.

Much to my surprise I managed to do it in the database (trust me, this is a very unlikely occurance.)

Still, it would be nice to be able to do it from the plug-in so may I leave this here as a feature suggestion?

Having fiddled around a bit it looks like this is only a problem in a few themes (I disabled all the other plug ins to check for clashes.) If anybody else has had the problem and fixed it please let me know how!

I don’t really fancy having to shift to a new theme if I can avoid it but this is the only posts slider thingy that seems to work on the IT most folk visit the site from.
