Whoops, nevermind the above. I WAS able to get Home removed by playing around with the control panel.

I definitely would NOT recommend changing your functions.php, as it is unnecessary.

I have the same problem as the original post-er.

When I try to create a custom menu without Home via the control panel, the new menu takes but the drop-down menu options become disabled.

When I tried adding to the code above to a fuctions.php child theme, it didn’t work (and it took my site down).

Nevermind. I figured out the problem: I had left off the closing

}

in the child theme style.css.

Doh!

Thanks but this isn’t working for me. Were there any other changes you made? Altering the widget-title code hasn’t worked either.

I am having the same problem. Please let me know if you find a fix! We’re using the same theme as well.

we also get this error message on top of every page since the upgrade. I’ve tried all of the fixes listed in the forums, to no avail.

But here are my questions:

RE: TITLES:
1)
How do I change the default for the titles on pages? Currently, titles are converted into multiple images and are difficult to read. Instead of being images, we want them to be text.

2) The titles that appear as part of the browser window at the top of each page are redundant. For example, this page:

Reads:
InBloom and Student Privacy | Class Size Matters InBloom and Student Privacy

I don’t want that page title to appear twice. It should just be:
InBloom and Student Privacy
