Sorry , your response is appreciated but I am not sure I understand what you mean. Quite simply, if I change the theme, then all the plugins I had will automatically be applied to the new theme… correct?

Also, regarding UpdraftPlus plugin… would that work to back up to a hard drive instead of the cloud? I have no cloud storage.

I didn’t realize I could edit what I just posted and was going to enter a correction here. Now I have to put something here because I don’t know how to delete this post.

Another example – tying to find a plugin that will automatically resize images to fit in the Prettyphoto gallery windows… the search returns almost anything but what I actually need and want.

I don’t know if gallery windows can be sized – I am using the built in shortcode and I thought it was static.

Okay, I get it now. Wonder why the conventional browse method wasn’t used? Doesn’t matter, really, so long as there is a way to navigate to the correct folder.

The media uploader inside WordPress is the best option for 99% of situations, even when adding files in bulk.

I was referring to this comment and wondering where to find that media uploader inside WordPress.

I am a little surprised WordPress doesn’t have a media library management tab somewhere so users can add, delete, and change attributes of media files.

1) I can access the upload folder I created on my server if I do it through FTP… what I meant was, there did not seem to be any ‘browse’ function in the plugin that would allow me to select that folder.

2) How would I access that media loader inside WordPress… that may be sufficient for me.

Not checked so they must have gained entry some other way. Would they have to guess the admin username and password? I could certainly make that more complex.

That could very well be the case. I have never heard of open subscriptions so I need to learn about it and how to turn it off.
