Sorry, was on a page that uses a Teams shortcode – but apparantly the issue exits there too. Here is a video of it happening with the EasyTestimonals short code:

So it may be a generic problem but can you suggest any way to fix it?

I am using the Blaszok theme with Visual Composer, latest version.

Please let me know what is causing it and what I can do. Every time I edit a page containing the plugin shortcode, the permalink changes.

The problem was that the count needs to be limited to 12 or less to avoid delays. Marking as resolved.

Richard, thanks for your reply. I am using VC 4.4.3. I did find out something in the mean time though: If the count attribute is not set and limited to 10 or lower, there is a significant delay in the time it takes to update any change to the page, or when clicking “edit this page.”

I understand that viewing the page might take longer with a lot of testimonials being loaded, but am not certain why clicking “edit this page” or “update” after editing the page should experience this delay.

Another thing I noticed, that really should be fixed, is that if I edit a page that contains testimonials, the page URL is changed by the plugin upon clicking “udpate”. It changes to whatever the name of one of the testimonal. So for example, a page musictraining.center/careers becomes musictraining.center/john-smith if John Smith is one of the testimonials.

Any idea how to remedy either of these?
