Strangely, everything was working just fine until a few days before I made the initial post.

In reply to: [WP-SpamShield] Registration Form (Duplicate First Name, Last Name fields)Hi Scott,
I definitely agree that requiring for first name and last name help prevent spam registration. What I thought would be good to consider is perhaps allowing the plugin user the option of not asking for these 2 fields along with Display Name where the user already has another plugin like S2Member installed and activated so to prevent the duplicate fields. I realize I could have WP-SpamShield activated but just turn off the registration spam protection functionality, but then again, thats the main functionality of WP-SpamShield that I
d like to activate WP-SpamShield in the first place for.Perhaps there`s a way to modify the code of WP-SpamShield to automatically detect for whether another plugin is providing those same user fields (of first name, last name)?
The other anti Spam registration plugin I have installed actually appears to do exactly that as it doesn’t display the first name, last name fields once activated (while S2Member is also activated).

In reply to: [WP-SpamShield] Registration Form (Duplicate First Name, Last Name fields)Hi Scott,
Thanks for the suggestion. When the duplicate fields appear, I only have 1 anti-spam plugin activated – WP-Spam Shield. I have another one installed, but not activated. The moment I deactivate WP-Spam Shield and reactivate the other one, the duplicate fields disappear.
I use S2MemberPro (a membership plugin) in conjunction with the registration page…I don’t see how having S2MemberPro active though would be a problem as with the other anti-spam plugin activated (and WP-Spam Shield deactivated), there are no conflicts (while S2MemberPro is also activated).

I installed the Fix SSL/Non-SSL Links ithemes plugin and the issue described in the previous post has now been resolved. Thanks again!

In reply to: [PopupAlly] Can't Close Popup in IE, FirefoxActually, I just realized the inability to close the popup window has now extended to Chrome as well…this seems to be an issue which just appeared today.
The only configuration setting I’ve updated since the last time I saw this popup was adding a second popup, which I’ve timed to appear every 7 days whereas the 1st popup is meant to appear every 14 days. The popup I’m currently seeing is the 1st of the 2 popups.

Thanks for solving the mystery Marius!Have a great weekend,
DarrenI just wanted to add that when I deactivate the plugin for iThemes and activate HTTPS, everything works fine, so there’s definitely a conflict b/w iThemes and HTTPS, and that’s even without instructing iThemes to do anything SSL related (as it does have a few options for SSL configuration).

In reply to: WP user login stats inaccurateHi James,
Sorry, I just realized that it was S2Member Pro that was providing the login count. I’ll relay this issue w/ S2 and see what they say.Cheers,
Darren@wp.insider, the apply process works fine.
@affmngr, wp.insider,
I’ve realized that the issue arose from protecting the Affiliate registration page using S2Member. I required for the Affiliate to be logged in via a WP account before being able to register as an affiliate. I thought it’d make sense to force Affiliate candidates to become WP members first before allowing them to register as an Affiliate, as it allows them to become more familiar with the product they’d be marketing. Further, I assumed that because the affiliate plugin operates w/ S2Member, that one login (the WP login for instance) would be perfectly fine for logging in as an affiliate. So when I tried doing so, the Affiliate program looked at the WP login credentials (different from the Affiliate login credentials) and served up a page for non-Affiliates.After removing the S2Member WP login requirement, I was able to login using the Affiliate credentials without any issue.
I know in a few other posts, others have asked about where one can go in the Affiliate file structure to modify the text displayed in the Affiliate pages. For instance, I’d want to modify the display “Store Affiliates” to just “Affiliates”. I tried finding the code/files referenced in the other post responses but haven’t any luck.
I think it’d be very nice to allow this text to be managed from within the admin section of the Affiliates plugin.
Lastly, the Affiliate who’s logged in should under the “Edit Profile” page be able to update his/her password as the one auto-generated and used to login initially is a rather long password that wouldn’t be easy for most to remember.
Cheers,
DarrenHi,
I know about this page, but what I’d like to know is what the affiliate should be seeing once he/she logs in.The affiliate-home (Store Affiliates) page currently doesn’t seem to detect that the affiliate is logged in either (even though he/she is). It displays:
…You are not currently an affiliate of this store. If you wish to become one, please apply.
I should add that I’m using S2MemberPro, so I’m not sure if there’s any interference going on b/w S2MemberPro and Affiliates Manager in displaying what I’m meant to see on this page that displays after logging in.
Ok, I’ve managed to almost complete the integration process. Everything is working fine when paying by Paypal within the Sandbox environment.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but with a Paypal Express Checkout account, none of the credit card options appear to work. From Googling the error I get (error 11586 dprp is disabled for this merchant) when selecting a credit card choice, I’m assuming that I’ll need to remove the credit card options from within the Pro form shortcode (to prevent them from appearing and for site visitors to try paying by credit card only to see the error above).

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] WP Fastest Cache Plugin Causes Some Stat Boxes to BlankNo worries then Camu. Having WP Fastest Cache activated isn’t as important to me as having access to good site stats! I’ll leave WP FC off for now.
Thanks again Camu for your timely and helpful responses.
