The other problem found by users is the whirlygig (percentage indicator) stops at about 80%, but the page has already loaded. It only lasts for a millisecond, but it is visible.

I can’t send the URL. Aside from you probably being located outside of the US, UK or Australia, the site is used by some 700 of the company’s staff repeatedly through-out the day and we can’t afford have it do peculiar things.

Deleting this useless plugin via FTP fails – as usual with “Permission denied”.

Deleting it also fails via WordPress – they must have a dollar value with Askimet to keep it there whatever the consequences.

Even just renaming it via FPT doesn’t help – it continues to show in ‘Inactive Plugins’.

Last of the list: GoDaddy are a little short in their supposed Support. They have not got the slightest hint of a clue!

It appears this feature is not being looked at and perhaps it’s because, like a zillion other plugins, the developer has simply lost interest.

As far as I’m concerned, you can do whatever you want!

As I’ve already said, I don’t know what ‘a new thread’ is meant to be.

So let’s not worry about it. I’ll get our developer to fix it and get rid of some of the less-stable plugins.

I can’t get to the site because it doesn’t show. The only view available is via FTP.

There isn’t anything wrong with the theme. As I said everything worked beautifully before clicking the Brute Force thing!

I’m having a similar problem, but a whole lot worse. Everything on the site was perfect until I clicked to enable Brute Force Cookie and created a Secret Word, etc.

One of the very first things I did was to change the ‘admin’ name at login.

Now when I attempt to login using the URL that includes the Secret Word, or even view the web site as a visitor, I’m taken to an IP address that says “This site can’t be reached.

This is a matter of some urgency because the entire and quite important site has disappeared.

I’ve FTP’d a back-up of the whole site, together with back-ups of the DB and .htaccess file, and there is absolutely no difference.

Well, since Vishal wrong four week ago, nothing has changed. Click the Pro link and you’re still taken to some weird site selling bitcoin and other total rubbish.
