By the way I already looked at options->reading page, and it works when you specify max number of displayed posts and when you specify max of most recent, but if you have only one post in a particular category it will display more entries from other categories to fill the maximum posts to display.

Does that make sense in any way? Got confused just writing it. (“,)

Seems I got confused somehow, as it turns out it wasn’t kubrick’s but the classic template that I tweaked. Sorry about that. Can you give me your input regarding this.

Have you tried going to your WordPress control panel->options->reading.. now you should be on the reading options. First option there is Blog Pages, you can specify the number of maximum results you want, if your template works like kubrick’s it should be ok. Hope you resolve it.
