I just remembered that it HAS been working. So I tried to deactivete plugins.
It turns out that this plugin does not agree with CM Super Tooltip Glossery.

That is not good!

Am I bound to get another plugin, or is there a another way?

I can give the title a class …

I tried with the hole URL because the ID didn’t work.
Now it works.

No – nothing!

There are no index.html files (only php).
The index files have been checked.
the home page have been checked in the editor.
the htaccess files are OK.
The spam comments are deleted.
All the online scanners above found nothing.
The DB prefix have been changed.
I have updated themes and plugins.

I don’t get it …?
It’s not like the site is crashed. Everything works. It just shows a wrong homepage.

Maybe there is something in the DB?

I can answer my own question.
I changed so the plugin uses SMTP instead.

Thanks for pointing in the right direction.

I tried to change to default template.
That’s it!!
It works.

But I have spent the hole afternoon translating this template.

Is there, perhaps, a way to fix it (for a non-PHP-able guy like me)?
