for me that pulls out the usual whole feed. Which brings me to a related question: I use $cat=-19 in my wp-feed.php and index.php to hide category 19 from the front page and RSS. But if I want to make a “private” feed just of category 19, assuming the above worked, which it doesn’t seem to, it will get killed by my modification right? Does anyone have any experience doing this? Thanks heaps!

Hi Brett or anyone, can you please tell me where exactly to put $cat=”-15″ in the wp-rss2.php file? It looks like someone replied to Brett and it got deleted. Would really like this info as have searched the web to no avail – have got the category excluded from the frontpage but not the RSS :7. Thanks!

I’m also trying out the mod_rewrite solution linked on the page by macmanx above, looks promising.

I would say that Spam Karma works haphazardly for me. I’m getting killed with backgammon trackback spam at the moment, with the same URIs that Spam Karma seemed to block quite well a few days ago. Macman, I’m glad that it works for you, but I think there are a number of people on the boards who it doesn’t always work for, and at the moment I’m just turning off trackback from time to time altogether. All I want is for something that zips out “artofbackgammon.com” etc. every time!

I’ve used the workaround to provide feeds (thanks!), but it’d be good to find some way of redirecting the people who are already subscribed to the old RSS feed which no longer works. Any ideas?
