Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: 3.1.3 upgrade issuesAll I can do is add my voice to those who have said they are having problems. My blog login page or dashboard page are taking a very, very long time to come up and are not working properly most of the time. I would like very much to know what I could do to fix this.

In reply to: New Plugin, randomizeI need some help figuring out how to integrate this plugin’s suggested header.php randomizer code into the Steam theme’s header.php file.

In reply to: changing category ID#sbtvillarin,
Thanks! It took me a sec to figure out how to do it, but I found the solution by using phpMyAdmin, just as you suggested.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: centering imagesBeel, splitting up those two elements as you suggested worked! Thanks! I also see that its working in both IE and Mozilla.

In reply to: centering imagesPodz, it looked like my host was having some problems but now finally I was able to make and save some changes and I can see what you’re talking about… there’s a larger area that has been invisible due to its color. Do I need to get rid of that area somehow? I’m not entirely sure what impact that has on the overall picture or how to work with it.

In reply to: centering imagesPodz,
I changed the color of the border from (code #) 000000 to fff and it changed to white. So that area of the code is being applied. By the way, before trying any of these things I did drop that code to the bottom of the css as well.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: centering imagesPodz,
That p isn’t changing it either. I’ll try changing that border color just to see what happens.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: centering imagesI appreciate the tips. I’ve tried it again and it isn’t working in Mozilla. I’m guessing I’ve got other code in there that is somehow interfering or that I’m missing something obvious.

In reply to: centering imagesPodz,
I tried each solution you gave me. The first solution didn’t really change anything at all (though I’m wondering if its centering the picture for the entire page, rather than inside the post box?).
The second solution creates a white gap (above the image) similar to what I was getting when I was trying to use < center > and < / center >Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Spam them backAfter getting hundreds and hundreds of comments to moderate, I felt a desire to retaliate as well. I installed Blacklist yesterday and set it so that any comment that included the two urls I saw would be deleted. For a blessed 12 hours or so, I haven’t seen any comment spam.
But it’s always possible that this is just a pause before the next storm. We’ll see. I haven’t gotten any emails showing that a comment was deleted, so perhaps having no comments to moderate was merely a sign that no attempts were made by the spambot in recent hours.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Spam floodingOne thing is that this spambot is sophisticated enough to get past a post preview capability that I have built-in to my blog.

In reply to: Podz Appreciation ThreadThat last Anonymous comment was mine. Sorry!

In reply to: Spam floodingMy guess is that this guy is going after a variety of people in the WordPress community. I started by deleting his comments. Now I’ve “unapproved” two of them. What exactly does “unapprove” do? Anything besides hiding the comment from readers? I’m thinking about installing Blacklist tonight.

In reply to: A Korean BlogSeeing that we have a Korean friend in the WordPress community I thought I’d bring up something. I recently read an article that said South Korea is one of the most internet-connected places in the world (much more so than the United States, for example). I wonder if anyone has a Korean-language WordPress blog. Maybe Daehee knows?
