I’m able to send a “standard” newsletter, it’s just the auto “send immediately a new post is published” that didn’t go.

ok, check plugins, even if you think nothing has changed!

I’ve been having various issues with plug-ins. Having uninstalled and then reinstalled, one by one, it seems that Mail Poet is good with WP4.6.1, thank goodness, as I like MailPoet a great deal! However, in the list of available plug ins, this is the message for MailPoet: Last Updated: 4 months ago 300,000+ Active Installs Untested with your version of WordPress

Perhaps you might want to have a chat with WordPress about this?

ok, more online chat help with Bluehost, looks like a conflict with plug-ins. So I’ve uninstalled all plug-ins, and am slowly working through re-installing, and testing photo upload as each one goes in. Looks like I found one that is blocking photos!
Any other helpful suggestions gratefully received, but I think I’m ok now!

Hi Mattyrob, yup, they did admit the 150 email per hour limit, but that was all they admitted to.
I do find it strange that after talking to them, with them not admitting to any problems, I started getting notifications to my gmail account.
Then, after I miraculously found a “help” email address on aol, and sent them an email, a couple of hours later, I magically started getting notifications from aol again!
Hmmmmm!
So, I seem to be getting notifications again, and it seems to have been an issue either with Bluehost or AOL, or possibly both….

UPDATE: I went through all the troubleshooting, and spoke to my host: Bluehost, who told me there are no restrictions on outgoing mail, and that they could see mail going from my site, to various subscribers. My main email a/c is with AOL (yes I know!), I also have a gmail address. I wasn’t receiving test mail to either a/c. Then I tried posting a test post, and suddenly I received a notification to gmail, but NOT to AOL. Not even in spam.
I have been successfully getting notifications to my AOL address for months, until yesterday. Does anyone have experience of this, or any suggestions of how to persuade AOL to stop filtering this address?

umm ok, please ignore above request! Things seem to have settled down, and the menu IS staying visible when scrolling down! I was working on this late last night, installing and uninstalling various plugins, and it may have been the Twenty Fourteen Extend plugin that was messing with the menu.

ohhhhh! got it now, thank you! I DID put just the channel name notdunroamin first, and got an error. So then I changed it to the link https://www.youtube.com/user/notdunroamin got another error. Now having watched your video, I changed it again, and it seems to work!!!

I checked channel name, and put in the youtube user name, but that’s where I’m getting the error.
Visit Us works, but Subscribe doesn’t.

ok. I guess what I don’t understand is what is supposed to happen when people click on the icon? I thought it was like a subscribe to feed link? What’s the purpose of the icon please?
