It used to run lovely. But you’re right, it’s not working at the moment….

For a news sharing website, a blog is perfect – searchable, many different posts, categories of news, upload photographs, links to other sites, videos (via plugins) – WordPress has everything you need.

2.3.3 is my current preferred choice. – Just because of the availability of all the themes and plugins.

https://www.wpthemespot.com/2006/12/22/justsimple/ is a good start – just modify as needed.

Install the old version 2.3.3 – It’s available in the archives on www.remarpro.com

Then install and activate the following plugin, which stops WordPress from telling you or clients that you need to update.

Is it’s purpose to look good…. or to instantly inform the user is their password and credentials are correct?

Are you running wordpress on a slow sever/internet connection – my various copies of wordpress, run super quick, and putting a “loading” page in the middle, would just waste time and stop my clients from updating their sites.

I’ve been doing this on a mac network for some time – I just installed PHP, then enabled websharing from the system preferences (well disabled the firewall until I got it working) then installed wordpress – our computer’s home page is https://networkipaddress/wp
